Who is Lone Mountain Ranch...

We are a multigenerational family living on a 3 acre ranch in North Phoenix. Our property has many facets to it, we board horses, host events in our pasture, rent out spaces for photoshoots, host educational programs and classes, and obviously have our cute minis that we rent for a multitude of events and activities. When we aren't at events with our animals you can find us all mucking manure, feeding 30+ animals, training, and of course cuddling them, how could you not?

What we offer

Animal rentals

We have a itty bitty pony, mini donkey, alpacas, and soon to be a micro highland cow!

Ranch rentals

Our ranch can be rented out for parties, photoshoots, special dinners, and more! We are always open to ideas!

Animal School

We host a 4 week animal school program each season. Your children will get hands on experience learning about our animals and ranch lifestyle.

Jacob is lead cowboy at the ranch and will most likely be the one at your event. So get to know him!

Jacob cares for all of our boarded animals all day everyday as well as our personal animals. There are no days off when you have animals! Jacob may look rough and tough but he is a huge softie when it comes to his animals and kids. You can often find him outside hugging a horse, or a baby in his arms.

He has two college degrees in business from GCU and one degree from Cowboy College in Scottsdale, AZ

He rebuilt every square inch of our ranch when we bought it


His karaoke song would be "the devil went down to Georgia" and it's very entertaining to watch


Now lets meet the woman behind the scenes

Karlie is Jacob's high school sweetheart and mother to their 2 children. She had a dream her kids would grow up with a pony (like her mother did) and also an obsession with alpacas so when their daughter was born they sold their home in central Phoenix to find their forever home where they could raise babies and animals together. Karlie handles all of the scheduling, emails, and logistics to run our events!

Birthday parties

We provide a one-stop-shop when it comes to our birthday parties. When you book LMR for your kids birthdays we take out all of the headache of party planning, cleaning, setup and tear down, all of it! You can just show up and enjoy the day with your birthday babe!

We host all types of events at the ranch, here are some of the core rentals we do, but always open to hearing what you are wanting to use the ranch for!

Photoshoots

If you are looking for a farm and ranch backdrop for your photoshoot, our property has it! Our newly renovated barn is the best backdrop for our western couples, we also have a beautiful very green front yard pasture with massive mature trees, this story-book backdrop is great for our farm-loving girls.

Our front yard pasture has a beautiful backdrop for intimate dinners like rehearsal dinners, anniversary parties, and more!

Kids birthday parties

Karlie and Jacob are parents themselves they know the stress that comes with kids birthday parties. You spend weeks planning, days cleaning, and then the whole day hosting, you often don't get to enjoy the day at all and are exhausted by the end of it. Birthdays at Lone Mountain Ranch are every parents dream...you just have to show up. That's it! Before you arrive we will provide and set up all chairs, tables, the petting zoo entertainment. During the party we will clear out trash, cut and serve the cake, provide music, all hosting duties. When the party is over, you get to leave! How amazing does that sound!? We do full clean up and tear down. I told you it was a one stop shop! We have different packages that start with everything I just listed and then add-ons like costume cakes, decoration packages, bounce houses, etc.

How can I meet them? 

ANIMAL bartenders 

Our animals love the attention so bartending comes natural to them. We have a mini beer burro, a itty bitty pony keg, and 2 alpacas with their own serving cart. Our donkey and pony carry packs on their back to serve whatever beverage you provide. Alpacas are not pack animals and can not handle the same weight on their back, so instead they stand at their cute cart to distribute whatever drink or sweet treat you would like to put in their cooler!

petting zoo

We know our minis are too cute to handle and your kids will love to have them at their party. We are not your typical petting zoo, we do not provide small animals like chickens and bunnies. Our petting zoo consists of our mini donkey, mini pony, mini alpacas, and micro mini highland cow (coming soon). You can choose to book them all or some, you can customize based on your wants and needs.

pony rides

We love our itty bitty pony named Gypsy. She loves kids and gives the best pony rides. When you hire Gypsy you get a full cowgirl experience with her. Your kids can groom her, get her tack on, and ride around the yard. Gypsy loves hugs, pets, and kisses, she will pose for photos, and loves the attention.
With a little magic Gypsy can be transformed into a unicorn, so let us know if you are looking for that service!

We have so many clients who love horses, alpacas, and mini cows....trust me we get it! Photoshoots with your favorite animals are so much fun and can be for any occasion. Our alpacas have been used in engagement photos and our pony has been used for kids portraits, the possibilities are endless!

Does the whole family want to experience the ranch together? We love that! Our farm tours are typically 1 hour long and you will be able to meet the animals, brush the ponies, give treats, cuddle our micro cow, and take as many photos are your heart desires. We will also tell you some fun facts about our animals and answering any questions your family has about them.

animal school

Typically each season we host a session of Animal School. This is a 4 week program where kids 3-12 can attend our classes and learn about all of the animals on our property. They will get hands on experience with the animals and learn the ranch lifestyle ways. Each lesson has in-depth teaching on each animal and corresponding art projects to go along with the lessons.

FAQS

Who teaches riding lessons?

Our amazing trainer is named Becky. She has been riding her whole life, and has been teaching lessons for almost 20 years. She teaches both western and english style.

When are the Animal School dates?

We release the dates of animal school the semester prior to it starting. We will post updates on our Instagram page, and you can always send us an email as well.

Can I have my birthday party at the ranch?

Yes! We will work with you on the logistics if you want it to be a riding party, or more of a petting zoo type of party. Send us an email!

What about bachelorette parties?

We love to connect any age with our animals! You can do a group riding lesson, a photoshoot on-site with the animals, or even a brunch or dinner with the animals joining you!

What ages can do riding lessons?

Around 6 is a good age to start, but we have had younger! It does depend on the child's abilities and confidence. We also have adult riding lessons, it's never to late to pick up a new skill!

Do you sell any products?

We do have a merch store on Etsy, and will be adding chicken eggs for sale soon!
